One of the first questions we ask ourselves when renovating the kitchen is the color of the furniture. Do you want a safe and timeless option or do you prefer to take a risk? The options for kitchen colors are endless; there are as many shades as you can imagine. So, it all depends on the look you want to achieve. To help you with your choice, we have prepared a selection of kitchens with furniture in different colors: tones ranging from neutral and safe as beige, white or gray to more avant-garde and colorful proposals as intense greens and blues, through pastel shades.
If you want to know everything about kitchen furniture colors, don’t miss this post.
WHITE KITCHENS
The quintessential luminous color is always a safe choice. Not only because it will bring brightness and spaciousness to your kitchen, but also because it never goes out of fashion, combines with all colors (important when choosing coatings and countertop) and goes well with any decorative proposal. In addition, you can always add chromatic counterpoints in details and auxiliary furniture or opt for a “total white”, a trend in kitchen design. White is one of the most popular choices in kitchen colors.
BEIGE KITCHENS
In terms of colors for kitchen furniture earth and nude tones work just as well as white and are perfect for achieving warm and pleasant spaces, even more so if you combine this finish with wood (you know, low cabinets in one color and high cabinets in another) and complete the decoration with details and accessories in vegetable fiber. We usually associate these colors with rustic decorations, but if the furniture is plain, without moldings or handles, they are also a very popular choice as colors for modern and contemporary kitchens. Remember that matte finishes will always convey a modern style to the decoration.
KITCHENS IN PASTEL TONES
Pink, green, blue or yellow in their pastel shades are ideal to recreate a rustic-chic style, especially if combined with subway tiles, hydraulic tiles (or ceramics that imitate their finish), and kitchenware or accessories of retro or vintage aesthetics. In this case, glass cabinets, knobs, cabinets with moldings and a stone sink that goes on the countertop (like those of the kitchens of yesteryear) contribute to enhance this decorative proposal.
If you prefer your kitchen to boast a country feel, then don’t hesitate to choose kitchen cabinets in matching colors, for example, pastel shades with white and wood.
KITCHENS IN INTENSE COLORS
On the opposite side are the intense and flashy shades: red, orange and yellow are more daring proposals, but with which you will achieve spaces with character and personality. They will bring an extra warmth to your kitchen, in addition to filling it with vitality and energy. However, to avoid the space becoming too cluttered, try to tone down the color you choose with white.
BLACK KITCHENS
This color, like dark gray, has been gaining positions to become, since a couple of seasons ago, a strong trend in terms of kitchen colors. With it, modern and elegant decorations are achieved, with a touch of sophistication.
In addition, with the
Graphite Grey
that NEFF has incorporated into some of its appliances, the result is sober and striking. Do you dare?
